Florists in the United States range from neighborhood flower shops with a walk-in cooler to studio designers who work only by appointment for weddings and events. Most retail florists build arrangements to order, deliver the same day when you call before early afternoon, and belong to a wire network (FTD, Teleflora or BloomNet) that passes out-of-town orders to a local shop. Ordering from the shop directly rather than through a national website usually means more flowers for the money, because no order-gatherer takes a cut. Flower markets and wholesalers sell loose stems and bunches, often early in the morning, and many now open to the public. Flower farms grow seasonal blooms such as dahlias, peonies and sunflowers and sell by the bucket, by subscription or as pick-your-own.

I was recently married and Sandy was absolutely amazing to work with. My story is a little unique as I was planning my wedding from Cleveland OH and the actual wedding was in Decatur. She worked with me and made sure I got exactly what I envisioned. She not only helped with the flowers but offered a little wedding planning advice along the way which was very much appreciated and needed. I would 100% recommend Sandy for all your flower needs :)

Sandy was an absolute joy to work with for my daughter’s August 11, 2018 wedding! Not only did she create bouquet and other flower masterpieces, but she also took time with me helping me decide on table decor and how to arrange candles, flowers, etc...on the tables. She was always available when I had questions! I highly recommend Sandy with Wethington’s! Our flowers exceeded our expectations!

I can't recommend Sandy enough!!! The florals and garland for our wedding were picture-perfect, but Sandy's personality and attention to detail are what made our experience so wonderful. We had a 60+ foot garland for our table that turned out to be beyond our expectations and my bouqete was stunning.

Sandy designed all of the floral arrangements for my daughter's wedding! They were absolutely beautiful!! She used tall fluted and pilsner vases and had cascading flowers with additional greenery and decorations in them. She also did all of the bridal party bouquets and did colorful berry sprigs for the men. I would absolutely recommend this florist to make your event beautiful and memorable!

Sandy was absolutely WONDERFUL to work with. After looking in the area for quite some time for a florist I could trust with my vision, I finally found what I was looking for when I met with her to plan my wedding. I did not want what a lot of people would call "ordinary" for my wedding flowers, and she completely understood my wants (and needs) and ran with it. I truly felt that I could trust her in all decisions she made regarding my wedding, and she couldn't have been more pleasant to work with. As many may know, planning a wedding is a stressful process, so trusting all stakeholders involved helps immensely. Our wedding was everything my husband and I could have hoped for, and that was largely in part because Sandy was kind, compassionate, professional, and very trustworthy. I highly recommend Wethington’s Fresh Flowers & Gifts for any of your floral needs!
